'The tests showed ...a weakness'

Robert Stack learns he's shooting blanks (in terms of fertility) at the corner soda fountain (?), the traumatic music surges (!), he walks out of the store like a zombie in a Viagra commercial, and stares at a little boy being shaken silly by a coin-operated horse!!!!

This is the funniest scene I've ever seen. I was roaring, instead of identifying with his plight.

I'm enjoying this goofy, overdramatic movie a lot, but it is like watching a bunch of aliens.

Maybe you're an alien yourself!

Anyone who finds this laughable or is not intelligent, or sensitive
enough to understand that scene represents a man's real emotional pain, insecurity,
low self-esteem and self doubt, is pretty clueless,
or just plain 7 years old....

and should be watching "SPONGE BOB SQUARE PANTS!"

HillieBoliday your comments here got old long ago.

Although I wasn't even talking to you, here I am almost a whole year later to tell you to go *UC* yourself...now how about that?!

"OOO...I'M GON' TELL MAMA!"

I think you need to calm down

reply

How about I will just calmly tell you to go *beep* yourself?

Trust me... I can say this in the most calm but effective voice you
will ever want to hear.

"OOO...I'M GON' TELL MAMA!"

See you in eight months, Hillie

Oh give it a f-cking rest - the scene was hilarious, and not exactly the only instance of overwrought silliness, either (what about that Malone woman pulling wild faces by the lake while recalling scenes from her childhood? The whole crew musta been flat on their backs laughing their asses off watching her do that sh-t on command) And yet, all the same, there IS a certain poignancy to the film and it IS a good, perhaps even a very good, picture overall.
