Wallys mustache
Ward and June used the term "raising a mustache".
I never heard that term before. Did the writers come up with it or is it a old fashion term from the past that is no longer used?
Well, Ward grew up on a farm. Maybe they raised more than dairy cows.

It was an old expression. In a movie, Carrie, with Jennifer Jones and Laurence Olivier, Eddie Albert is admiring himself in the mirror and says he might even raise a mustache. Old expression gone like most expressions.
