It might have been a little too 'King Kong-ish' but...


What might have been a hoot is the woman should have shown baby Ymir kindness at the beginning of the film when he was a hatchling and then in the climax recognises her and scoops her up in his hand and carries her to the top of the coliseum making dealing with him more difficult.

I love it!

Harryhausen had a great deal of influence from Willis O'Brien, the animator of King Kong. I'm not sure how much say he had in the plotting of this movie, but I can definitely see Kong standing in the background.
