I'm hearing talk in my home state that a film by this name will be filmed here. I'm wondering if it's a remake of the original or something completely new.

Apparently not. And a good thing, too. I thought there might be at least some fun in this because of the cast, but after 35 minutes or so I'm wondering why anyone - cast, crew, or Warner Bros. Pictures, wanted to be associated in any way with this piece of dreck. Could Gable have needed the paycheck?

........If they remade it they might actually try making the movie somewhat like the Robert Penn Warren novel it is based on. Hamish Bond dies halfway threw the book.
