The actor who played "Perrin McKee" is Paul E. Richards, not Paul Richards. They are two completely different actors, not the same actor billed under another name. If one watches the film, one can see that Paul E. Richards looks and sounds nothing like Paul Richards, the actor who played "Mendez" in "Beneath the Planet of the Apes".
shareI'm a big fan of Paul Richards and I was thinking that that was not only a heck of a makeup job, but his voice was a lot different back then, too. Anyway, according to IMDb, the only credit that Paul E. Richards seems to have is an episode of Naked City. I own the complete Naked City series ( one of the truly great American tv series, if I do say so myself ) and I'll be checking out that episode later this evening. I find The Strange One more and more fascinating each time I view it, as I do Jack Garfein's only other directorial effort. Even though I've already seen it several times, I'm going to watch Something Wild right after this. In the end, good luck if you want to notify IMDb of the mistake. It practically takes an act of congress to get a correction.
