A Blueray Reaction!

Finally got around to viewing the Bluray release after having it for a couple of months.

20th Century Fox did an outstanding effort of restoring this MGM owned United Artists release.

Many of the frames that were damaged by overexposure(?) have been corrected.
The colors are rich and vibrant.
The sound is in mono because a stereo mix of Jerome's score could not be located.

No matter!

This has never looked and sounded so good.

Barnes and Noble currently on sale for $9.99. A steal!

Hurry up TCF or whoever and let's have a Bluray release in UK - however, I don't think there ever was a stereo mix of the superlative Moross score.

Thanks for that info!

Love this movie, and own the DVD. But I'm imagining how it looks on BluRay. Will be buying very soon.

I'll be very happy when there's a cheap DVD to BluRay converter available for us novices.

We were on our way to Midnight Mass!

Thankfully, it's a region free Blu-ray. It currently only costs 9.85 dollars on Amazon!
