John Newland
I like to watch an episode of OSB while I sip a great big mug of tea. Just the right running time.
I think John Newland was a good presenter of the show. There is something of the Vincent Price about him. He doesn't use the menace of VP but there is something about his voice that evokes VP. He draws you into the mystery. I like the way that he lurks in the background of the action sometimes even in episodes that are set in historical times. Like a concerned ghost. And the smirk that John Newland gives at the end of some episodes is more enigmatic than the smile of the Mona Lisa.
