The most handsome actor

Someone posted the most gorgeous actress thread so I thought I'd create this one. Hands down for me is Robert Redford. Although in his ep nothing in the dark when he calls the old lady " mother" its a bit of a turn-off its just weird.

I don't think he is the most attractive, but I've always thought of Fritz Weaver as rather attractive in a sort of unconventional way.

reply

I totally agree with you. Fritz Weaver was very attractive. Honestly, as a woman, i don't need a man to be prettier than I am. I want a man who is attractive enough. Other actors I like are Sam Waterston, Peter Strauss, Ed Norton, Humphrey Bogart, and Herbert Marshall. None of these men are pretty, but they look very masculine and their film personas were generally appealing.

Jay Adler?

Nobody mentioned Steve Forrest ("The Parallel"), Lee Philips ("Passage on the Lady Anne" and "Queen of the Nile"), Cliff Robertson ("A Hundred Yards Over the Rim"). They were eye candy for sure!

He's not as pretty as the others, but I think Russell Johnson ("Back There") should get an honorable mention ;-)

*EDIT: I saw Russell Johnson on another post. My bad!

reply

Hey Russell Johnson (Professor) was really cute!

When he was older, there's a great story he told of a personal appearance he made with the rest of the cast of Gilligan's Island. They were at a prison of all things! When they introduced Maryann and Ginger, the two women got the usual whoops and cheers from the men. (Which is to be expected given the age old Ginger vs. MaryAnn question.)

Then when they introduced the Professor, some guys cheered--"Hey, we'd like him!"

Well, I've never been in prison, but I can relate. I'll take the Professor over MaryAnn and Ginger any day.

We've had these "handsome" threads before and Burt Reynolds/Robert Redford are always mentioned, but it's good to see some fresh names mentioned like Lee Phillips and Steve Forrest, who are little known, but quite attractive. Cliff Robertson and Russell Johnson are better known, and also not bad either.

He's a little bit older, but John Anderson (the pilot in Odyssey of Flight 33). Always distinguished looking. I've seen him in other non-TZ roles too (MacGyver, for example, he played Mac's grandfather in some episodes).

As, Jack Klugman's guardian angel in Passage for Trumpet he was hella cool.

reply

John Conwell who played the Elevator Man in "The After Hours" was quite handsome. He was also assistant to producer in many of "The Twilight Zone" episodes.

reply

The guy in the episode with the dummy who seems to be taking him over. That guy is hot.

"Why couldn't the monkey arrange this from INSIDE the garbage can?"

reply

Cliff Robertson. Adorable. He won the Oscar in 1968 for Charley.

Woo. He is CUTE. 😍

"Why couldn't the monkey arrange this from INSIDE the garbage can?"

reply

Wait--THAT is Uncle Ben from Spider-man?! This blows my mind.

reply

Age is not pretty.

I guess it isn't. Uncle Ben has always kind of annoyed me in those movies...and here I am watching The Twilight Zone thinking "I want to bang this guy" and it's the same man! o_O

Is there any contest here? Robert Redford far and away.

I totally agree about Fritz Weaver. There is something very dignified and attractive about him.

I actually like Larry Blyden, he is adorable in his two episodes.

reply

I actually think Larry Blyden is more adorable as himself hosting What's My Line.

reply

Yes, he was! In the 1970’s I remember attending a taping of What’s my Line. He was lovely.

reply

I envy that. What's My Line and I've Got A Secret are two of my favorite shows of all time. I would like to have been there to see them tape the black and white episodes.

reply

As a straight guy I'm not really qualified to say who women should find most attractive, but if I could look like any of the TZ actors I'd probably chose to look like young William Shatner, Rod Taylor, or "Gidget"-era Cliff Roberson instead of Redford.
