So everybody is between 30 and 37 in the Twilight Zone, but they look like 50 going 60 years old

People looked a lot older at a younger age decades ago.

shareYou obviously haven't watched enough episodes or seasons to be making such comment.
That being said, there's actually more diversity of age in the older episodes than in today's modern television where everyone of every race looks like they're under 30 years of age. Even older actors are made up to look 20 years younger.
Gen Xers like Damon, Afflac, and Vince Vaughn are way over the hill but are still portraying characters who are bachelors in their 30s. Tom Cruise (kind of an early Xer) is pushing 60 and he still acts like he's doing the Mission Impossible remake from '96. LOL
Advertisers and the media cater to young people to such an extent these days that it's like the city in "Logan's Run"----everybody over age 30 is "offed." Or at least invisible.
