The first is 'The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street' when they panic at the end.

Then that's different. Monsters/Maple street is a night scene with widespread panic, but all the carnage was done by the humans themselves after being induced to panic by the aliens. So you must be remembering a movie or another show like Outer Limits (I haven't seen all of those). There is no TZ that shows a whole neighborhood being cleaved out of the Earth.

The whole neighborhood being cut out is from The Outer Limits' episode "A Feasibility Study" (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0667805/?ref_=ttep_ep29). But that happens in the beginning of the episode. You have somehow merged that with "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street", which has people running around in a panic at the end.
