"So THAT's the other end of your party line."

"I've never seen a boy with so many arms before!"

"Happy?" "Happy." (thunk)

"My analyst will never believe this." "Neither will mine."

The funniest part of the film is when Brad pretends to interrupt "Rex" and Jan ("all right, but you're on my half-hour"), and then laughs while Jan tells "Rex" how much she loathes Brad.

The movie is full of great lines--but I think that's my favorite!

While riding in the horse-drawn carriage in Central Park:

Jan: There's something so wholesome about a man who loves animals.

Brad: I hope this stupid horse knows where to go.

Carriage driver seated in back: Humph. He hangs on to the reins like a subway strap.

One of my favorite bits is not a line, exactly, but the way it's delivered. When "Marie" is in his apartment (the woman in the blue dress about half an hour in), he sings the same "You Are My Inspiration" song to her that he previously sang to Eileen and Yvette. In this scene it goes:

"You are my inspiration [momentary blank look] Marie, Marie [relieved expression]..."

"Oh, well" said Zanoni, "to pour pure water in the muddy well does but disturb the mud !"

"Why redecorate? It's so functional for your purposes!"
