Bloodless surgery

Vincent Price removes the Tingler from Ollie's wife apparently by reaching through her skin and grabbing it. There is no blood gushing from the necessary gaping hole; Ollie just carries her out in a sheet.

And later, the doctor just grabs the Tingler and reinserts it in the wife. Again, no blood, no stitches.

Well, I guess it makes as much sense as the rest of the movie.

Just the casual shlepping around of her dead body with no regard for police procedure, or anything, adds to the surreal nature that I enjoy.

I'm glad Vincent Price remembered to tell The Husband to call the police. I wonder what the police are going to say about Price's "autopsy"

Oh GOOD!,my dog found the chainsaw

She was dead. There wouldn't be any gushing blood. There should have been dripping blood and other fluids, but the film likely wouldn't pass the Production Code and/or local censor boards if it had. The blood in the bathtub would likely not have been considered as gruesome.
