Who's the ballet teacher?
Is she related to Marge? What does ballet lesson have to do with the rest of the plot?
shareI believe the ballet teacher is called Mrs. Popova and played by Elvire Popesco. I think she is simply meant to be an acquantaince of Philippe and Marge because they live in the same town. She also appears later in the film in the hotel when she hears Philippe being called to the telephone, and even later at the morgue and at the restaurant. I suppose the ballet lesson is simply meant to establish her and O'Brien as characters; there are many brief scenes and characters here that don't seem to matter much to the plot.
