If Michael Medved hates it it MUST be good!

Michael Medved considers it one of the worst films ever made. If that rightwing A-hole hates it it must be great!
I just saw it for the second time and it starts to make sense. It's not about the plot...great films never are. More about style, atmosphere, impression, cinematagraphy, philosophy, historical significance. In any case it's all way over the heads of A=holes like Michael Medved.

why would you give a %#@! about anybody's opinion, especially of some paid clown? that's just too much unnecessary garbage.
google shows it's some conservative talk show/columnist - not my america, i'd rather re-read Faulkner :)

Uh, MM's political beliefs have nothing to do with his abilities to review films. Still, I agree, if he hates it it must be good. I really don't see how he was able to support himself as a movie critic. He has very poor cinematic taste.
