Enjoyed it a lot

Another Corman/Edgar Allan Poe classic.

I just found two things odd. Anthony Carbone who I liked a lot as the doctor, almost overpowered Vincent Price in the film, in screen presence. Also, the way Nicholas died was kind of a let down. Thought he would succumb to one of the torture devices, for instance, being struck by the pendulum. A bit nit picky, I guess.

However, the entire film was really good. The story, acting, atmosphere, the castle, costumes, dialogue all worked really well.

Really enjoyable, and highly recommended.
