WNEW-TV and Merv
I know that it aired on WNEW at 8:30 PM for years on WNEW during the '70s and '80s, but did it also air on Channel 5 before Merv moved to CBS?

I recall watching it on Channel 5 NY in the 1960's.
Looks like it was on both WPIX and WNEW during the '60s. The B&W episodes were on the former, while the color ones were on the latter.

Actually, WPIX was the first NYC station to carry the 1960's version of TMGS, in 1965 when it got started; WNEW acquired the show in 1966, and it didn't go color until 1967.
