Ronnie Graham singing in late 1970's?

Ronnie Graham, who played Rev. Bemis on "Chico an the Man," wrote for M.A.S.H and
appeared in a few episodes, and wrote with Mel Brooks and appeared in several of
his movies appeared on the Merv Grifin show in the late 1970's or early 1980's
(I think; my recollection is that it was about the time that he was appearing in
Chico and the Man) and sang a couple of songs that I beleieve he wrote. Each
verse of one song would end with the lyric "but somone put a match in mine
flowers. Suckin Eggs! Suckin Eggs!" It's a dim but amusing memory from my
mispent youth, but I'd like to find a video of it. Can anyone help with a date
of the broadcast? I think that the shows are available on videos; don't know
if that episode is available or if it's worth ponying up for that fragment, but I
would appeciate it if someone could at least confirm my memory that such a thing
occurred and provide some details.

Thanks.
