When Max Cady is asked to strip down he hands an officer his shirt and say: "you better check that I might have a couple of ???? stashed under the collar" What does he say he has under his collar and what are they?

That's right. A heroin reference. I wonder if it was in the script or if Mitchum just winged that line.
