Supprisingly Relevant

I am loathe to watch almost anything made before about 1970 because, for my sensibilities, while the movies may have alot to offer in some areas, they are just so dated from a character/dialogue perspective that they are too painful to watch. This movie is a notable exception. I watched it with my kids and they too were riveted throughout. though at times the dramatic tension made them uncomfortable. The movies theme is at valid today as it was back then - the methods the ex-con uses to make a family man feel uncomfortable where easy to relate to and you end up asking yourself how you would deal with the situation short of arming your family.
