Anyone know of some similar films along the lines of dealing with alcoholism, I have seen lost weekend but I am looking for a few others. I myself have been sober 2 weeks now and its so hard but movies like this really help.

shareThere's a very obscure 1951 film titled "Come Fill the Cup," directed by Gordon Douglas. The stars are James Cagney, Raymond Massey, Phyllis Thaxter and Gig Young. Cagney is alcoholic newspaper reporter who hits the skids until he meets recovering boozer James Gleason. Used to be shown on TV at least through the 70s. Not sure if it's ever been on home video.

If you can find it ( it might be on youtube) you can also try The Morning After, with Dick Van Dyke. Great performance.
