LOVE this movie!

Out in the boonies where I live there are many alkie couples. The female half of one would come into work and relate her boozy woes from the night before: punches thrown, dishes smashed, people pulling each other off the toilet, etc.

All another co-worker of mine (who gets boozed up just as often) could say was: "It's just like 'Days of Wine and Rose'"

This film is more accurate than a lot of people think. You have to be around these types - especially the couples - to understand it.

I only drink wine and beer, but when I do I GET SMASHED.

Only in the comfort of my house. On those rare occasions when I go out to bars, I go with a few friends and hardly drink much at all. I don't like getting SMASHED in public. And obviously I would never think of driving a car in that condition.

I just drink my wine and beer (I honestly cannot stand the taste of hard alcohol anymore) at home until I get SMASHED and then it's off to bed!
