Charles Bickford (Lee's father in the film)
I think it's ironic he played in A Star is Born (1954) where James Mason's alcoholic Norman Maine ruins his life by alcohol. He then played in the tv version of this and then once again played in the movie version. Interesting to note how many times he had to play a character who wasn't an alcoholic but was involved somehow with one.
