I love this movie so much and want to help as many people see it as possible. The wonderful people at TCM will be airing this forgotten gem again and in glorious letterbox! So set you TiVo, DVR, VCR, etc - Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at 8:00PM - yay! Now, if only they'd release this picture on DVD.

Thanks for your post. Because of it I decided to tune in to TCM and see if it is as good as you say. "And introducing ... Mariette Hartley" is just crossing the screen as I write this. I'll be back to comment after the movie. But win or lose, I am glad you enthusiastically recommended it so I would have a good movie to watch.

What was the transfer like? Did it look like a new high quality transfer? I assume this will be included in the Warner Peckinpah boxed set due out early next year, so I wonder how far down the track Warner is in making new transfers.
