Unimportant trivia borrowed from North by Northwest

Ever see North by Northwest? I've seen it about 1000 times and I know every inch of film in that movie. Eddies's Father I've seen just a couple times but I saw a remnant of N by Northwest in this film today.

You know the part where Eddie is missing from camp and his Dad Tom is driving frantically up to camp? Glen Ford is in a convertible with the top down in front of a process screen and what is being projected on the screen is the same footage that was behind Cary Grant when he was driving drunk on Long island. The white fences are very distinctive and the late 1950s cars are the same.

It's on the screen only briefly, its not important, but its interesting to see how the studios can use an element from one movie in another thinking we will never notice. Well it may take 53 years before we notice, and it doesn't impact my enjoyment of this wonderful movie. Its just kind of fun.
