One of my favorites.

I listen to this movie a lot at work for background noise, but I actually "watched" it for the first time in a long time on TCM.

I'm so glad I did--I fell under its spell all over again. I recorded it and I've watched bits and pieces of it all week. My favorite part is the cab and when she is sleeping. The way he looks at her--he's falling in love, but he doesn't know it yet.

I have always loved both of them as actors and to me this movie is perfect. She is just so beautiful and he is just so Steve McQueen, but with a sexy sweetness (for a few moments anyway). The supporting actors are all very good as well right down to Barbie's dogs. I never noticed the pictures of a young Natalie Wood on the mantle before. And the stank eye she's giving her brothers in the truck when they're telling her about Columbo--so cute.

I gave my sister my old VHS tape so all I have is instant video on a small screen--it really deserves a blu ray release, the sooner the better.

I can understand how some people may not like this movie, but I'm a big fan.😊

I just saw it for the first time now, and I really enjoyed it (except for the last 20 minutes, which were draggy). Beautiful love story, and tragic as well.
