Could someone go over the very end for me?

I watched the movie and loved it, but my sister started talking to me just as it ended, and I missed it all!

when natalie wood came out of work there was a crowd gathering and she could hear a banjo and bells - it turned out it was steve mcqueen and he had a sign, which i've already forgotten what it said. something about "wed" and "dead" i believe.

of course this impressed her and then he threw down the banjo and bells and they kissed while the crowd/people walked by.

It was "Better wed than dead".

You can watch the complete film on YouTube, in 11 parts. Very nice quality. For the best results, wear a set of headphones.
