LONG LIVE TOM JONES!

Hopefully this will usher in a Golden Age for Tom... a Pax Tom Jones persay.

I haven't seen the movie yet, although I'm hoping to see it soon. I've been borrowing it from a friend for the past few months and just haven't watched it... YET! Maybe today is the day! I'm looking forward to seeing Albery Finney in an earlier movie. I thought his performances in The Gathering Storm and Big Fish were excellent. Top notch!

Same here. I first saw TOM JONES when it premiered in NY in 1963 when I was 18. I loved it then and still do. I watch it often.
I was upset when Tony Richardson cut down the movie to only 2 hours. The MGM DVD is 129 minutes, but I remember when it premiered it was 134 minutes.
This movie should be totally restored and played more often on tv.
