'Escape from Venice' homage to THE FLY
In the second season episode "Escape from Venice", Crane (David Hedison) is framed for murder in Venice. Nelson, Sharkey and Riley set up headquarters in the Hotel Dandelo (spelling?) while searching for the fugitive Crane. This name immediately struck a chord, as Dandelo was the name of the family house cat that Hedison famously sent into infinity while testing his matter teleporter in the 1958 film THE FLY.
