A few things

The new crewman didn't last long on the Seaview.
(They would get eaten,zapped, etc)
Admiral Nelson, and Captain Crane would get turned into zombies, or controlled
by aliens, about every other episode.
Finally, does anyone remember the episode where the giant creature has it's arms around the Seaview?
That model must have been huge.

Yes, and when they shook the Seaview, the crew had to run from one side of the boat, to another!!!!!!!!!

YES and if you listen very carefully you can hear Irwin bang a pail to tell the actors when too move from one side of the set too the other side of the set.

I don't recall them showing the sailors inside Seaview, when that manuover was executed.
I have seen the interior of a US sub when diving or ascending at a sharp angle.
They are standing almost sideways.

I love VTTBOTS... It is full of ludicrous science, ridiculous technical errors, geographical insanity and generally laughable stories - full of repeated footage, occasionally built around reels of stock footage... I could go on.
BUT
Crazy as the shot of Seaview shooting out of the water like Shamu at Marineworld may seem... It's far from ridiculous. Google images for "emergency surface" and you will see. Granted, it looked like too much of the hull actually emerged, but the angle is within the realm of possibility.

It seemed that in just about every other episode there was a saboteur on board the Seaview. When Irwin loved a trope he would reuse it as a plot device until it bled.

Well said friend.
Do you remember the one about the evil clown?
