Move Voyage fantasy adversaries to LIS?

I'm not a fan of VTTBOTS. But I am a fan of what Lost In Space could have been - without Dr. Smith and the campiness. And I had an idea about expanding the capabilities of the LIS Jupiter 2 inter-stellar flying saucer. I believe the Jupiter 2 could also function as a submarine, exploring the alien planet's undersea areas. But this would be replicating a lot of the Voyage adversaries, like giant sealife, mythical monsters, aliens, etc.

If those fantasy adversaries were moved to LIS episodes, it would leave the Voyage series more mundane and serious. What do Voyage fans think of that?

Personally I preferred the "more mundane and serious" first season of VTTBOTS where it was as much a spy series as it was science fiction. I loved episodes like "The Fear-Makers", "The Mist of Silence" and "Submarine Sunk Here".

If you liked the early, serious, black and white episodes of Lost In Space you should check out the first season of VTTBOTS, which was likewise serious, but for the whole first season (and also in black and white). If your only memory of VTTBOTS is monsters of the week roaming the corridors of the Seaview, you'll be in for a pleasant surprise. Some of those first season episodes had a definite edge to them.
