I'm hoping someone can fill me in on a couple of details.

The audio on my DVD went out for a minute or so. What was the metallic buzzing sound that awakens Virg in the morning(s)? Morgan appears to be asking her if it had done so.

Ben tells Morgan that if they're dealing with a virus, it appears that vambies/zompires are immune to it. However, he also talks about stories saying that some of those who die from it "come back." Huh? I thought there was only the one disease they were dealing with.

The audio went out on my DVD as well. Is it after Vincent Price meets that woman survivor?

No; it was during a flashback. He walked into the bedroom, it cut out, then came back and there was this noise, and his wife replied - I think he'd asked if it woke her up - "Yes, every morning," or something. I wondered what the noise was - the daughter was already sick, and Virg was, too, but hiding it.

Did you miss something, too?

There's only one disease. The virus kills people, and then they come back as vampires/zombies. Morgan (Vincent Price) was immune to the virus because he'd been bitten by a bat that had had a diluted strain of the virus, so Morgan got mildly sick and then recovered, and that basically vaccinated him against the full-strength virus.
