Another great Price performance

Vincent Price fights to stay alive in a world where the rest of the human race have been turned into vampires. In an unusually restrained performance, Price actually gets to play the good guy. It's a very downbeat movie. There's no 'camp', no OTT horror; just a story of loss, loneliness and survival. It's nice to see him flexing different acting muscles (he also runs more than I'd ever seen before, has a full-blown shootout, and gets to throw gas-grenades and flashbangs!).Some dodgy post-sync dubbing (this seems to be an American/Italian co-production) unfortunately robs the film of some of its creepy atmosphere, and the ending feels a little rushed. But as ever, Price makes it all worthwhile. 7/10
