Did Lara know Komarovsky was her mother's lover?

I believe she did, but it's hard to imagine a daughter allowing herself to be seduced by the man sleeping with her mother. I suppose we're meant to see it as a combination of a naive teenager's attraction to an older, sophisticated man; her youthful pliability; and her sexual curiosity.

Almost certainly Lara knew the real relationship between her mother and Victor. She had little choice in the matter, since Victor's money allowed Lara and her mother to live quite lavishly by Russian standards. And let's not forget that Lara obviously was sexually attracted to him, the rape scene clearly shows she quickly enjoyed what was happening. I am NOT condoning Victor forcing himself on any woman, incidentally.

Since she enjoyed the sex, how can you call it rape?
