Morgan Freeman 'just an extra' ??
This movie dates 1964. When did MF start his fame ?
I thought he was a grand actor from a long time ago.

reply

Apparently, Freeman only became a widely recognised leading actor with Street Smart in 1987 when he was 50. His film debut was in 1971.

but yeah, I can't find him. Anyone know? Would love to see what he looked like in his twenties. He wasn't really big until Driving Miss Daisy.

he was a fine stage actor, I heard he was in a play playing a soldier or a vet and it made folks cry in the audience.... he is a fine actor

Oh, but you're forgetting The Electric Company.

Growing up in the early 70's, Morgan Freeman will always be the cool guy in denim jogging in the park.

Morgan's in the stripes. He was with Tangee's gang. He has no speaking roles.

reply

No, that's John McCurry. The Blu-ray reveals a lot of detail, but not Morgan Freeman - it's impossible to identify him. Mr. Freeman will just have to point himself out if he can. I personally think that his scene as he describes in an interview, was probably left on the cutting room floor.
