Who played Mrs. Jesse Coe?

Does anyone know who the hoty was who played Mrs. Jesse Coe (the bar whore) who nearly has a wardrobe malfunction just before McQueen escapes out a window? That scene always sticks in my mind for obvious reasons.

Probably Edy Williams, listed in the credits as Saloon Girl. She's got some major gazongas and was quite the looker in her day it seems.

Her name is Joanna Moore. She had a bigger scene but most of it was cut, because the film was overlong.

I just watched the 2nd half of this on TCM in honor of McQueen's 79th birthday. It did seem odd that she received no billing in the film. I wonder if it was because of her role being cut?

You seem to be correct since IMDB lists her as the saloon girl in "Nevada Smith." None of the other starlettes cited by contributors has "Nevada Smith" credited to her movie list.

I agree with you Deacon. The scene with Mrs Coe is one of my favorites.

It is most definitely Joanna Moore. For those who can't tell by photos, she is easy to identify because of her distinctive voice. She also played Peggy in the Andy Griffith Show and had a beautiful singing voice as Griffith gave her opportunity to demonstrate several times on the show. She is probably most famous for her crazy marriage to Ryan O'Neal and her talented but somewhat troubled offspring, Tatum and Griffin.
