Anyone else think this was the inspiration for the TV series "Dharma & Greg?" Lots of comparisons: getting married after knowing each other one week, uptight lawyer married to fun-loving, free-thinker, etc. When I first saw this movie in the 90's, it was hard to ignore the similarities to the popular sit-com.

Yes! I saw this yesterday for the first time in many years and that was the first thought that came to me. Dharma and Greg.

I can see it, but I also think that the "opposites attract" scenario is pretty common.

I'm sure the show's creators had seen this a number of times before producing "Dharma & Greg".

BTW does anyone else think Jane Fonda mirrors Elizabeth Montgomery (without the nose twitch of course) from Bewitched in much of this movie?
