Joan Rivers

Did anyone else think she was GREAT in her one scene? In her documentary A Piece of Work, she says she always wanted to be thought of as a dramatic actress.....and here she was.

She was great! So understated, which is so different from the way she is usually thought of. I thought she looked very sexy in that 60's midriff outfit too!

Joan is what she is. She isn't a "dramatic actress" and I don't find her presence in the film a welcome one. Even though she was probably ok in the role.

What? No hate?

She cornered the market, so none left.

She can't help herself, she was badmouthing this movie, the director(s) and Lancaster before it even came out. She was PO'd that her lines had been cut, so she basically cut her own throat with movie people. She was dumb or arrogant enough to believe directors, producers etc. would consider her for future projects after she pulled this type of BS.

This is just an explanation, I actually like and admire Joan as a comedian and the rough road she took to get where she is. What was a huge positive and made her as a comedian was a negative when it came to securing any type of dramatic film roles - her mouth.

I don't blame her. Her role seemed meaningless, maybe due to he lines being cut. However, Joan did a certain thing in her acting when she started out: an unnecessary breath before each line which was not natural, as she was trying to be natural.
