A Masterpiece

A great underated masterpiece. Very adult, and the only time I saw Joan Rivers in a dramatic role. (She is one of the neighbors and she did fine in her role)

a strange and beautiful film, a tantalising existential odyssey. it avoids pretension due to its unflashy picturesque naturalism.

An absolute masterpiece, yes. Funny at select times, sad at many times, actually scary in total.

However, there's some really bad acting at some points in the movie, which detracts from it. Still, the movie is so darned good, it's easy to just pass over the bad acting.
