This is the BEST animated film ever. Fact not opinion.

Just wanted to remind everyone of that fact once and for all before the boards shut down for good.

As much as I love this film, you've forgotten the oeuvre of Hayao Miyazaki and Spirited Away is spectacular.

The music is amazing, but the animation? If you show this movie to some very young kids they'll most likely think it's boring because their eyes are used to much better animation. Look at the animations on Animaniacs, which came out 20 years ago but is not dated at all, it's a lot faster and more fluent.

I think kids would respond pretty well to a lot of Yellow Submarine, depending on the exact ages. Really little kids will kinda watch anything. As they get older, they get choosier, but they also don't care as much for something looking "cheap".

Frankly, the unique visual aesthetics of the film would keep a lot of viewers interested, regardless of age.

This is not the BEST animated film, it's just one of the best-looking!

Seriously, the absolute best-of-all-time animated films have deeply involving stories, which "Yellow Submarine" lacks. In "Spirited Away" you empathize with the heroine throughout, you fear for her at first, then you grow to like her as she learns to cope, then love her and cheer for her, and all the while you goggle at the amazing visuals. "Yellow Submarine" doesn't offer a damn thing but spectacular psychedelic visuals and Beatles music, I swear that whoever wrote the script expected everyone in the audience to be too stoned to care about the plot.

If it's mere animation then I would go for the "Ghost In The Shell" series.
That is fantastic animation.
Also the story and cyberpunk setting makes me favor this over Yellow Submarine.
