Typical 1960's angst


Jean Simmons' character is trying "to find herself." Not too surprising,
considering that was the big deal in 1969. Most of the action and dialog is
just a bunch of menopausal fretfulness, treated by the actors as some sort
of profundity.

Agreed! Might have seemed vaguely profound at the time to certain age group but film has not aged well. (And simply putting pigtails on forty-ish actress does not for convincing youthful flashbacks make.)
