I watched Let It Be at a cinema in Paris where it was released in summer 1970. Very long queue for the theater, excellent film though.

I also bought the album in Paris that same summer. For some reason when released in France it came in a box with a booklet, a lot nicer than the US release. I sold it a few laters cheap, with a lot of other LPs. Of course now I wish I hadn't as it has become a collector's item ... c'est la vie.

I saw it for the first time when, I guess, it was in it's second run. It was part of a Beatles quadruple feature in '70 or '71. Also on the marquee that day? Yellow Submarine, A Hard Day's Night, and Help! I was 8 or 9 and stayed all day long and watched all 4 features back to back. A memory that always puts a smile on my face when I think about it.

it played the midnight movie circuit for a while in NNJ in the 70's-80's. It was weird to see people booing when Yoko was on camera, then they'd turn around and say how much they loved John.
