Is The Audience Reaction Really That Enthusiastic?????

All you hear during the show is cheering, whistling and clapping throughout the whole program, but when you look at the audience sometimes, you don't see the same reaction. They're basically just clapping with only a certain few loudly acting hysterical.

I'm just wondering if the audience is truly caught up into the spirit of the moment or if it's just a soundtrack added later for TV broadcast?

I was on the show in 2016. IT'S REAL! My wife got called down, and later won a new car! It's so loud in the audience that you can't hear the original four names being called down.

A stagehand walks across stage with a giant cue-card containing the person's name! My wife thought she heard our last name (she was called third), but couldn't really hear clearly, but then saw the cue-card and began to jump and scream!

After the show, they gave her the cue card as a souvenir.
