Do they confiscate phones from the audience?

Seems like people looking up prices and shouting help to contestants would a real problem. You couldn't even trust them to power them off. Is there metal detectors to make sure you're not a nut job trying to assassinate Drew? I always wondered what the security measures are to get on this show. Sound off if you've been there.

That totally makes sense. They probably do.

This guy on today had a belt clip holster for his cell phone, but there wasn't no phone in it. I'm gonna say they definitely don't let these guys keep their phones.

We were on the show three years ago. (My wife won a car on THE MONEY GAME!). Yes they take your phone when you come in, and give you a numbered ticket to get it back after, same as a traditional coat check. I heard now they're also taking Apple watches, etc., and highly recommending you leave those in the car.

I don't remember if there's also a metal detector. It's a small audience though and they're watching you. They also tell you that you can't bring in price sheets. They would see you looking at these and kick you out.
