A long time it was Aguirre for me but Noaferatu wins for me now.

I like both but I prefer Nosferatu. It's much more haunting.

Both are great but I will have to pick Aguirre.

Well, Aguirre had armour and a sword, but Nosferatu was essentially immortal, and I surmise that he would blend in with the jungle more effectively, what with the jungle being quite dim.

On the other hand Aguirre had access to a Bible, and at least one of his party seemed to genuinely believe in the Christian God (unlike Aguirre, who believed that he was God). And of course they're on a raft, and vampires can't cross running water.

So the odds are against Nosferatu. Really, vampires are more effective in the modern era. In the old-fashioned God-fearing days when noblemen carried swords and there were crosses everywhere, vampires must have been pretty humble.

Yes, yes. You're talking about the films, not the characters. Aguirre is the winner in that case.

Michael Haneke's work is insipid. Lars von Trier's work is a walk in the park.

Aguirre is great, Nosferatu is a masterpiece.
