Don't be turned off by the sex-- it's worth watching.

Fritz The Cat isn't some sick porno. It has a plot and it has a meaning. (It does, just listen closely to Fritz at the end of the film.) Also, Fritz isn't the only character with a name-- his black friend is Duke and his mature girlfriend is Winston. This film was also based on a comic by the underrated Robert Crumb, and was directed by animation legend Ralph Bakshi. In addition, one of the animators was Jim Davis, who later become famous for creating everyone's favorite fat cat Garfield.

It isn't a masterpiece or anything, but Fritz is worth watching.

What I have shown you is reality. What you remember....that is the illusion.

This was not the same Jim Davis that created Garfield.
He is listed as Jim Davis II (Writer)
The one who worked on Fritz is Listed as Jim Davis I

I always had trouble with that! There's a Jim Davis listed in some later Pink Panther cartoons. I'm assuming that's the same chap who worked on Fritz?
