The Itchy and Scratchy reference to this in The Simpsons? If so, what are your thoughts on this?

Ya, i havent seen the movie yet, but i am a fan of Heavy Traffic and looked up some stuff on Bakshi. So i am familliar with FTC. I do remeber that Simpsons episode though. I wonder if most people got that.

Be sure that you do see Fritz because it will make the itchy and scratchy episode a whole lot funnier.

If you're referring to "The Day the Violence Died," it's actually a reference to an '80s music video involving an animated cat in jeans, starring a female artist who's name I can't quite place.

No, it is a FTC reference. The writers said that in the commentary AND Comic Book Guy says that it is called Itchy & Scratchy Meet Fritz The Cat.

I liked it. I also thought it was hella cool that they actually used the ostrich lady from the Death Of Fritz The Cat comic, and loved how the writers were hyping and plugging this movie a lot in the commentary; 'see it as soon as possible' and all that cal.

yeah... and you also see all the types of people in the comic book guys store who would actually watch a movie like FTC lol. Example:

1. Homeless Dude
2. 40 Year Old Virgin
3. 14 Year Old Kid (Jimbo/Nelson)
4. Some Complete Nerd
5. Animator
etc
