WHen the police chief leaves the office he is driving a 65-66 blue chevrolet and later he is driving a 67 chevrolet . Later he is driving the 67 then he shows up in the 65-66 .

They needed to keep track of the police cars

When the younger cop comes to get the Chief at the bar, the Chief says, We do have two cars, ya' know." So I guess that's why we see the different police cars.
