Loved it when they were pissed at Uncle Charley (From my Three Sons) when they finally got out of their imprisonment and they were like "you told" and he was running around "No! no! no! I didn't!" Remembered that from when I first saw this movie years ago. Funny!

The creatures were not well seen in the movie.

When VCRs came out in the early 1980s I had to stop the video to get a still and a camera shot at them. You never saw them more than a split second.

In the few scenes when they were around more than a split second, such as the scene where all three are conspiring in the bathroom while Sally is in the shower, the scene is very dark.

Here and there throughout the movie you got a glimpse of shriveled walnut heads with tiny nose and mouth but with big dark skull-like eyes, maybe a brown monkeysuit, and tiny clawed ratlike hands --

In the movie they appeared just enough to let you know they were vaguely anthropomorphic (standing, running, walking upright) monkeylike things with shriveled heads and big eyes.

The newer movie should have kept their form vague -- their shimmering eyes reflected in the dimmest light, and just the faintest pale residual lighting -- and suggestions of their shape and movement in the darkness, is all we should see. If it's bright enough to really see them, then the light would have been too much for them

It's quite possible the creatures took the camera with them. My guess is they probably did.
