If jw should have returned a third time
I wonder if Jw pepper should have returned a third time in the spy who loved me or his character wouldn't have been a good fit,

I have to say that JW was a joke that wore thin pretty quickly for me. Having him back in TMWTGG just made my weak Bond weaker.
I could just about go with him being the PA that Stromby drops in the shark tank because he wouldn't have to talk.
Agreed. I could have handled JW in one scene in TMWTGG as a cameo, but his extended role just reused the same gags that worked in LALD. Glad he's never returned for round 3.
shareSheriff Pepper was too one dimensional of a character to really get much millage out of. He's one of those "a little of him goes a long way" sort of people. The effect of this blustery, redneck southern lawman interacting w/ a British secret agent (and the inevitable "clash of cultures") is really only funny and intriguing once.
sharei think probably twice was enough. He is funny in both the film he's in, but having him run into bond a third time would probably have been stretching it a bit too far.
