If she's not a real bellydancer, why was she cast? I'm thinking her especially tasty abs as a believable treat for Bond, but I may be wrong. Anyone?

She is something... submissive and a little dumb I think;-)

Well, she was pretty dumb for allowing Bond to trick her and allow him to suck her prized charm out of her navel.

I've always felt Carmen was casted for her uncommonly attractive abdominals, so key to the scene where Bond pays homage to the bellydancer's "magnificent abdomen" while stealing her treasured "charm."

Maybe an accomplished bellydancer who could actually perform that belly-roll maneuver would not agree to be featured in a somewhat tawdry scene, nor wished to even be credited. Perhaps the belly-worshipping scene is more intriguing when one thinks back to that seductive belly-rolling of hers in the club. Why spoil the WOW factor?
